Cobblestone Creek Country Club, established in 1991 by the Wilmot family, boasts a Dr. Michael Hurdzan-designed inland links style course. In 1992, Golf Digest recognized it as the tenth best new course in the United States, and in 1993, as the thirteenth best course in New York state. Despite its relative youth, the club has hosted prestigious events, including the New York State Amateur Championship and Hurricane Tour and AGJA tournaments. In 2019, ownership transitioned from the Wilmot family to the membership, and the club has enjoyed ongoing success, known for its family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Spanning 412 acres of hills, meadows, woodlands, creeks, ponds, and wetlands, the course takes advantage of elevation changes, offering exceptional views from the 17th tee. Ponds near the greens on holes 9 and 18, along with others on holes 6 and 10, a meandering creek, protected wetlands, and cross bunkers present strategic challenges. Mounds and hollows on the fairways define target areas and create interesting bounces. Tall fescue grasses bordering roughs and water areas enhance the course's beauty while punishing errant shots. A deliberate tree-removal project has improved playability while preserving the natural beauty of mature trees. The greens are a defining feature, characterized by their size, undulations, and challenging slopes. Cobblestone Creek offers strong golf programs for women and juniors, with seven sets of tees catering to players of all skill levels. Each hole presents a unique challenge, and members can enjoy top-notch dining, a fitness center, golf simulators, a swimming pool, and pickleball courts. Golf Memberships include unlimited access to dining facilities, social activities, the fitness center, golf simulators, pickleball, and pool facilities for the primary member, their significant other, and children under the age of 23. Additionally, the primary member enjoys access to all golfing facilities. If desired, spouses and children can be granted full golf access for an additional monthly fee. Social and Sport Membership grants the Member, their significant, and children under the age of 23 unlimited access to dining facilities, social activities, the fitness center, pickleball, and pool facilities. Additionally, it provides limited golf course access, allowing each family to enjoy up to five rounds of golf per season. Corporate Memberships are available for both categories above and grant up to three designees from a corporation access to the same amenities as their respective category.
